A Few Notes to Prospective AOP Parents
We are pleased that you are considering an Academy of the Pacific education for your child. The following information is offered to assist you in the application and testing process.
- Please return the application to the School Office as soon as possible since there are usually more applicants than available openings. The teacher recommendation forms should also be completed and returned to AOP as soon as possible.
- Please leave your daytime phone number with us in the event we need to get in touch with you.
- Once we have received the application, you will be notified by mail or phone of your child's pre-admission test date. On the testing day, please arrive a few minutes early to check-in, pay the testing fee, and make sure all the paperwork is in order for your child's application. Testing begins promptly at 8:45am and ends at noon.
- The Academy also requires each parent or guardian to meet with Ms. Sperry before their child can be considered for enrollment. Please call 808-595-6359 to arrange a meeting.
- It is the Academy of the Pacific's admissions policy that students are accepted into the school on the basis of available openings. Consideration is given to the child's age, physical maturity, ability in a given subject area, and grade-level reading ability.
- Generally, students are accepted into the school on a first-come, first-served basis.
